The person will work with the president\/CEO and staff across the organization to draft grant proposals and reports, coordinate proposals and report submissions to foundations, corporations, government agencies, and conduct prospect research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Help manage the organization\u2019s growing grant portfolio<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Research prospective funders<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Create and manage annual proposal submission and reporting schedules<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Identify and secure grants for the organization\u2019s programs and projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Manage all aspects of grant proposals and submissions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Communicate with chamber staff and funders regarding projects needing funding and grant opportunities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Manage the receipt of grants and gifts\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Compile reports of grant deliverables and expenditures.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Experience and Training:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of training and experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Minimum three years experience as a grant writer\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Experience in writing successful grants<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Ideal Candidate Will:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Be a strategic thinker\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Be able to work independently and take initiative<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Possess strong writing skills with exceptional attention to detail<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Have thorough knowledge of grants research and application processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Possess strong time management and organizational skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Have the ability to meet strict deadlines\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Possess vital communication skill and a high level of professionalism<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Google Workspace (G Suite)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Working Conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Part-time, Contract position<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Fully Remote<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This position will report to the President\/CEO of the organization.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please submit your cover letter and resume to <a href=\"mailto:contact@ushaitianchamber.org\">contact@ushaitianchamber.org<\/a> with the subject line \u201cGrant Writer Position.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary\/Job Overview: The Grant Writer is a member of the Community, and Economic Development team who manages the development and implementation of funds requests to support the annual goals of the U.S. Haitian Chamber of Commerce.
