1. How can I confirm if I’m a finalist for the Haitian American Young Professional Award?

Finalists were announced on October 11, 2023. Check the complete list of finalists here.
 

2. Are all finalists invited to the Awards Gala?

Absolutely! This includes both current and past finalists and winners.
 

3. How can I attend the November 19, 2023 Awards Gala?

Finalists can attend for free, which includes entry to the Annual Awards Cocktail Hour, Award Ceremony, and more. Want to bring family? Finalists get a 20% discount on additional VIP tickets or tables using the code FINALIST2023. The coupon code will be expired on October 31, 2023. Remember, tables and tickets sell out fast!
 

4. Will I have a chance to speak on stage as a finalist?

Only the two award winners in each category will speak on stage for 1-2 minutes during the acceptance.
 

5. Will I be on stage?

Yes, every finalist will be on stage to receive the Governor’s citation. Let us know how you’d like your name displayed on the citation and other materials here.
 

6. Can I speak if I don’t win an award?

Certainly! All finalists can submit a 60-90-second video showcasing their achievements, current work, and favorite pastime. Videos can be submitted here by October 27th or via email. Our AV team will review and edit as necessary.
 

7. What’s the dress code for the gala?

It’s a black-tie event. We encourage finalists and their guests to dress their best.
 

8. Will there be food and beverages?

Attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, cocktail hour drinks, and award ceremony dinners.
 

9. Is there entertainment planned for the gala?

10. Will there be guest speakers at the gala?
