Summary/Job Overview:
The Grant Writer is a member of the Community, and Economic Development team who manages the development and implementation of funds requests to support the annual goals of the U.S. Haitian Chamber of Commerce. The person will work with the president/CEO and staff across the organization to draft grant proposals and reports, coordinate proposals and report submissions to foundations, corporations, government agencies, and conduct prospect research.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help manage the organization’s growing grant portfolio
- Research prospective funders
- Create and manage annual proposal submission and reporting schedules
- Identify and secure grants for the organization’s programs and projects
- Manage all aspects of grant proposals and submissions
- Communicate with chamber staff and funders regarding projects needing funding and grant opportunities
- Manage the receipt of grants and gifts
- Compile reports of grant deliverables and expenditures.
Experience and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum three years experience as a grant writer
- Experience in writing successful grants

Working Conditions:
- Part-time, Contract position
- Fully Remote
- This position will report to the President/CEO of the organization.
