extraordinary leadership and accomplishment and names winners
BOSTON, MA – October 25, 2022 – The Haitian American Business Expo, Inc./ U.S. Haitian Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is holding its third annual Haitian American Young Professional Awards on October 30 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Dedham, Mass. The Haitian American Young Professional Awards honor and recognize young professionals under 45 who continually demonstrate outstanding leadership, exemplary professional accomplishments, and commitment to their communities.
The chamber’s awards committee received over one hundred nominations from across the country this year. After careful consideration, the chamber is pleased to announce the 20 finalists for the 2022 Haitian American Young Professional Awards. Finalists range from CEOs to lawyers to commercial airline pilots to dentists and more and all have one thing in common: exceptional leadership and accomplishment.
Five finalists for each Haitian American Young Professional awards category were determined by a selected Committee. Winners of each of the four categories will be announced at the Awards Gala.
Along with the awards, the event will feature live entertainment and keynote speaker Dr. Gabrielle P. Abelard, CEO of Abelard Psychotherapy. And, Haitian Comedian SeJoe will bring his special brand of humor and perform live at the event.
A special tribute is planned to honor the gala’s guest artist Mikaben, who was scheduled to perform live at the event but sadly passed away on October 15. Mikaben was an extremely talented, multilingual artist who sang in English, Creole, French, and sometimes Spanish. In addition, Mikaben was also a talented actor who aspired to make a career in the movie industry. As part of our tribute, The chamber will play live at the event “never before seen footage” of Mikaben’s acting performance in the new upcoming movie Beach Chain (still in post-production) directed by MPAH Award-Winning Director Ralph Celestin.
