The U.S. Haitian Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Haitian American Young Professional Awards (HAYPA) Gala. This prestigious event is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating young professionals under 45 within the Haitian-American community who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, remarkable professional achievements, and a strong commitment to their communities. The gala provides a platform for these trailblazers to be celebrated and acknowledged, reinforcing their vital role in enriching the tapestry of American culture and industry.
Nomination Process
The heart of this gala is the phenomenal nominees that you, the community, bring forward. Do you know someone who fits the criteria, someone who continually sets the bar high and inspires us all?

to complete the nomination form. - Eligibility: The nominee must be under 45, demonstrating significant professional accomplishments, leadership qualities, and a solid commitment to their community.
- Self-nominations: We understand the humility in recognizing one’s accomplishments. Do not shy away; self-nominations are wholeheartedly encouraged if you or someone you know fits the bill.
- Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by September 30, 2023.
Award Categories for Young Professionals
- Haitian American Professional of the Year: Celebrating a standout business leader who has showcased creativity, diligence, and excellence.
- Haitian American Entrepreneur of the Year: Honoring an individual with vision and leadership, whose innovative business approach has left a positive mark on the community.
- Haitian American Citizen of the Year: Recognizing a dedicated individual whose outstanding civic engagement, volunteerism, and public service uplifts their community.
- Haitian American Leader of the Year: Applauding an enthusiastic and ambitious community leader.
- Haitian American Influencer of the Year: Saluting a trailblazing individual who has made a profound professional or entrepreneurial impact, inspiring and guiding many.
