As part of our Haitian Business Spotlight Series in collaboration with Haitian Globe, we are proud to celebrate Eldene Chugani, a Haitian entrepreneur who is breaking barriers and making history in Boston’s hospitality industry.

After an eight-year journey filled with resilience, faith, and determination, Eldene successfully launched Meco Hotel — a groundbreaking concept that blends affordability, design, and community in the heart of the city.

As one of the very few Haitian and Black women to build and own a hotel in Boston, her story is a powerful reminder of what is possible through vision, hard work, and perseverance.

Meco Hotel is more than a place to stay — it is a new way to experience travel, connect with others, and engage with Boston.
