Wilner and Marie Auguste to Receive 2025 Toussaint Louverture and Patriotic Awards at the 6th Annual Haitian American Young Professional Awards Gala

We are honored to announce that Mr. Wilner Auguste, founding member of Haitian-Americans United, Inc. (H.A.U.), will receive the U.S. Haitian Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Toussaint Louverture Award, and his wife, Mrs. Marie Auguste, will be recognized with the Patriotic Award. These prestigious honors celebrate their decades of exceptional leadership, civic dedication, and cultural advocacy within the Haitian-American community. Join us in celebrating their legacy at the 6th Annual Haitian American Young Professional Awards (HAYPA) Gala on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at UMass Boston — the closing night of the inaugural Haitian American Business Summit.
As pioneers behind Boston’s Haitian Heritage Month, the Haitian American Unity Parade, and the Toussaint Louverture Cultural Center, the Augustes have left an indelible mark on the cultural life of Massachusetts and beyond. For over 20 years, Mr. Auguste has led efforts to preserve and uplift Haitian identity, while Mrs. Auguste, a longtime nurse and community organizer, has advanced public service and wellness for local families.
The Toussaint Louverture Award honors bold leadership in the spirit of Haiti’s revolutionary hero, while the Patriotic Award recognizes deep commitment to community service. Together, these awards reflect the Augustes’ transformative impact—from organizing the city’s flagship Haitian events to creating New England’s first Haitian cultural center after decades of tireless work.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of dinner, culture, and celebration as we pay tribute to these visionary leaders. Secure your tickets now at ushaitianchamber.org and help us honor Wilner and Marie Auguste for their enduring service and inspiration to generations of Haitian-Americans.
